4 Ways To Honor The Life Of Loved Ones

We honor all those who sacrificed their lives on this Memorial Day. This is an opportunity to celebrate the commitment of our veterans and troops, dedicated to protecting our communities. We also recognize that surviving family members often experience challenges as they remember their loved ones. It can be a difficult time for many families and friends. Whether you’re remembering a loved one on this Memorial Day or honoring the anniversary of the death of a loved one, there are simple ways to honor their life.

Here are 4 ways to honor the life of losses loved ones:

Light a candle.

The light of a lite candles is a powerful symbol of life. As you light the candle you can say a prayer and remember their life.

If you knew the experiences or events that your loved-one desired to complete, make a plan to participate in those experiences.Whether a trip to see all 50 states across the United States or learning a new skill, as you participate in these activities, remember your loved one.

Butterfly release.

In addition to lighting candles, there are other symbols of life. One of these symbols is the butterfly. A butterfly release can often be part of a memorial or remembrance ceremony. Heavenly Hands Hospice often hosts remembrance ceremonies and all members of the community are invited to celebrate the lives of their loved one’s together with us.
