Support for those experiencing loss and grief
Caregivers and patients experience a great sense of loss as illness or crisis impacts their lives. Grief often looks like other emotions such as anger, isolation, depression, or even apathy. These signs of grief may be a sign for additional support needed for all those affected by serious illness.
We offer a free support group program made up of a community of people that support each other and connect. Our grief counselors can help you find the encouragement you need to get through grief.
GriefShare is an ongoing support group held every other week for 13-weeks to support anyone who has experienced the death of someone close to them. Just show up; no pre-registration is required.
We have found that prayer is spiritually uplifting and cathartic for people who may need a little guidance and added support in petitioning God. This is an opportunity to participate in prayer support. Coordinated by our Spiritual Care Coordinators, this service is available for our patients, families, friends, staff or anyone who needs the encouragement in prayer.
The Prayer Line is held on Thursday at 10:30 am EST @ (605) 313-4433; Access code 763297#.
